Jeremy Meeks became an internet sensation in a way no one could have predicted. Born in 1984, he grew up surrounded by serious family struggles, poverty and instability. For years, his life was shaped more by legal problems than by fame or success.
Everything changed after his arrest in 2014. When authorities published his mugshot online, the photo quickly went viral. Millions of people noticed his striking appearance, and the man the internet soon nicknamed the “hot felon” suddenly became known around the world.
After serving his sentence, Meeks decided to turn that unexpected attention into a new chapter. He entered the fashion industry, signed with modeling agencies and appeared on major runways, working with well-known names including Philipp Plein and Tommy Hilfiger.
His career eventually expanded beyond modeling. Meeks appeared in films such as True to the Game and Secret Society, explored fashion through his own clothing projects, and in 2024 released his memoir, Model Citizen, where he reflected on his difficult past and dramatic transformation.
At 41, Meeks is no longer defined only by the photograph that made him famous. Fatherhood, personal development and building a more stable future have become important parts of his life.
His unusual journey remains a striking example of how an unexpected moment can completely redirect a person’s path.
