The boy reached in and picked up a weathered black-and-white photograph, showing a child alongside an older distinguished man, and claimed that the woman in the vault’s records was his mother. Stunned, the man insisted that it was impossible, as they had been told she would never return.
The boy then opened a official envelope containing a sealed document, explaining that his grandmother said it would prove why their true house had been hidden from them.
